New Jersey post-hardcore band Thursday have revealed the video for their new single ‘Magnets Caught in a Metal Heart’, which is taken from their recently-released sixth album ‘No Devolucion’. The video, which you can watch below, draws its style from the album’s cover art – conceived by artist Mia Pearlman – and was directed by British performance artists Davy and Kristin McGuire.

All-girl Aussie rock quartet Stonefield have announced details of their debut EP ‘Through the Clover’, which is due for release on 20th June. They have also revealed a new video for the track that you can watch below. Stonefield will be playing a couple of live dates in London to coincide with the EP’s release. The band are also due to be performing a set on the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury next month, having been booked for the event as soon as they walked offstage at a recent festival in Perth.

Dutch DJ Vato Gonzalez has teamed up with London-based rap duo Foreign Beggars for their new single ‘Badman Riddim (Jump)’, which is due for release on 19th June. The track is a reworking of Gonzalez’s 2010 instrumental hit of the same name, featuring the vocal talents of Foreign Beggars. Watch the video to ‘Badman Riddim (Jump)’ below. Foreign Beggars will also be performing live dates in October. See below for dates and tickets.

Sheffield-based rock quintet The Violet May have announced details of their new single ‘TV’, which is due for release on 23rd May and is the first track to be taken from their forthcoming debut EP – out 27th June. The Violet May will also be playing a number of live dates in July and August, including a Club NME show at London’s KOKO venue on 29th July. See below for other dates and tickets. Manchester alt-folk quintet The Travelling Band are to release their brand new single ‘Fairweather Friends’ on Monday 23rd May, a week ahead of their new album ‘Screaming is Something’. ‘Fairweather Friends’ is also the opening track on the album, which is the band’s second to date following their 2008 debut ‘Under the Pavement’. Last night saw Britpop legends Suede kick off the first of three sell out nights at London’s Brixton O2 Academy. Since Suede hit the stage, the band’s Facebook and Twitter sites have been inundated with ecstatic fans posting comments and videos of their experiences. The band played their entire 1993 debut album 'Suede' in order followed by a selection of B Sides and some of their biggest hits including 'Trash' and 'Beautiful Ones'.
